Boasting just two staffs, a senior consultant nephrologist and a research officer on its first day of operation, Clinical Research Centre (CRC) Serdang Hospital was officially opened on 01 Dec 2010, led by the present Head of CRC, Prof. Dr. Goh Bak Leong. He leads CRC to focus on human subject clinical research in order to speed the translation of clinical research findings into new cures, therapies and clinical practice guidelines. We take hreat plaesure in celebrating our first 10 successful years.
CRC Serdang’s mission is to improve the quality of people’s lives through clinical research program . In our core research program, we seek to improve people’s health by supporting physician-scientists conducting clinical trials. Through our research, mentoring, leadership and patient care, we are helping build and sustain the kind of vibrant clinical research community that is essential for developing new and better treatments, preventions and cure for diseases. In addition to our continuing support of physician-scientists in clinical trials, we provide many key research services, supports and consultations, including managing extramural grant, conducting scintific protocol review, assisting NMRR registration, guiding protocol and manuscript writing, and coordinating feasibility study. We also organize and carry out many research training program for research community. among them are GCP, Protocol Development, Questionnaire Validation, Introduction to Clinical Research and Understanding Trial Agreement Contract.
