YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Noor Hisham bin Abdullah
Director-General of Health
Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Noor Hisham is currently the Director General of Health, Malaysia. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Director-General between 2008 and 2013. A well-trained surgeon and administrator, he was previously the Head and Senior Consultant Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at Putrajaya Hospital.
YBhg Dato’ Zamzuri Bin Abdul Aziz
Deputy Secretary General (Finance)
YBhg. Dato’ Zamuri Bin Adul Aziz started his career as an Assistant Director at the Malaysian Investment Development Authortiy (MIDA) in 1995. He then joined Administrative & Diplomatic Service and later in 2003, he joined the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and was promoted to several positions throughout his service in MoF. He is now the Deputy Secretary General (Finance) in Ministry of Health
YBhg. Datuk Dr. Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan
Deputy Director-General of Health (Research & Technical Support)
YBhg. Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan, a clinical gastroenterologist, is the Deputy Director General of Health (Research and Technical Support) of the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. Prior to this, he was the Head of Service of Internal Medicine in MOH, as well as Head of Department of Medicine and Clinical Research Centre at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah. He has a special interest in hepatitis, NAFLD, preventive medicine and treatment access.
YBhg. Datuk Dr. Shahnaz binti Murad
(Former) Deputy Director-General of Health (Research & Technical Support)
Y. Bhg. Datuk Dr. Shahnaz was formerly the Deputy Director General of Health (Research & Technical Support) in the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. Prior to this, she was Director of the Institute for Medical Research, Director of SEAMEO-TROPMED Regional Centre, National Head of the Pathology Service for the Ministry of Health and the Executive Officer for the Inter-Islamic Network for Tropical Medicine (INTROM).

Datuk Dr Shahnaz also Chairs the Nominating & Renumeration Committee.

Prof. Datuk Dr. A. Rahman A. Jamal
Pro Vice Chancellor, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
Prof. Datuk Dr. A. Rahman A. Jamal is the founding director of UMBI and a professor of Paediatric Oncology and Haematology, and Molecular Biology. He is currently also the Chairman of Audit Committee in the Board of Directors.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman
Medical Director and Senior Consultant Physician, An Nur Specialist Hospital

Prof Dr Abdul Rashid is medical director and senior consultant in An-Nur Hasanah Specialist Centre. He is also the Chairman of the Scientific Review Panel for Phase I Clinical Trials in Malaysia.

Mr Ewe Kheng Huat
Former Executive Director of the Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA)
Mr Ewe was formerly Executive Director of the Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA) from 2013 until early 2020. He graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) from Universiti Sains Malaysia and have an extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry with stints in Merck Sharp Dohme (MSD) as a Country Manager and Managing Director from 1994 to 2012 before assuming his position at PhAMA.

Dr. Akhmal Yusof
Chief Executive Officer

Dr Akhmal Yusof graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1992. He practiced medicine in the public and private hospital for 10 years and later worked with the American International Assurance Malaysia as Medical Manager. Later in 2002, he leads the Medical Department in AstraZeneca Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei for 13 years where he gained extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry clinical research management, regulatory, medical and government affairs. He heads Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) as Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Dr Akhmal Yusof is also a member the National Committee for Clinical Research and Board of Trustee National Institute of Biotechnology Malaysia.

Joanne Yeoh
Head of Clinical Operations

Prior to Clinical Research Malaysia, Joanne managed clinical operations across Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong for Covance Clinical Development Services, Malaysia. Apart from Clinical Operations, Joanne supported other additional roles on top of her primary duties that included eDC super user for RAVE, AP representative for process improvement of protocol deviation and clinical operations representative for start-up improvement process initiative for AP. Joanne climbed up the ladder to be Clinical Operations Manager/Country Lead from 2014 until 2017.

Joanne started her career as Clinical Research Associate in year 2006 and was involved in multiple functional areas the study authorization associate, start-up lead, lead CRA and document reviewer support. Aside from Covance, Joanne worked for other clinical research organizations such as ICON and Quintiles.

Joanne possesses experiences in dealing with various therapeutic areas namely cardiovascular, infectious diseases, endocrine, psychiatry, oncology, respiratory and hematology. She brought with her more than 10 years of working experience in clinical research.

She earned her Bachelor of Biomedical Science from University of Melbourne, Australia.

Zaleha Yusof
Head of Human Resources

Zaleha Yusof has an extensive and solid human resources strategic and operational experiences with diverse industry exposures: pharmaceutical, semi-conductor/high-tech, printing, food manufacturing and service industry.

She has been leading, steering formulation/implementation and driving continuous improvement at strategic level while ensuring tactical/operational initiatives are aligned with business and human resources strategies by making use of multi-cultured working experiences and exposures in various working environment including multi-national organizations. A dynamic business partner who focus on organizational development & effectiveness with talent development in mind.

Experienced in designing, formulating and leading HR initiatives during business transformation, major restructuring, merger and acquisition and growth including talent development and succession planning.

An individual who believes change is constant in life, is adaptive in nature and enjoys working with a high-performance team in a challenging environment.

She possesses BA in Political Science, majoring in Policy Analysis and minoring in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA. She obtained her post graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations from MEF/ILO.

Yau Yit Huan
Head of Finance & IT
Yau Yit Huan completed his professional accountancy qualification from the Association of International Accountants (AIA), United Kingdom. He has 18 years of experience in accounting, Finance and auditing. Mr Yau joined CRM as Finance Manager in the year 2013 before being promoted to the position of Senior Finance Manager and subsequently as Head of Finance & IT.
Audrey Ooi
Head of Business Development

Audrey Ooi is the Head of Business Development at Clinical Research Malaysia. She has over 8 years of experience in the clinical research field, with cross-functional roles in marketing, project management, stakeholder engagement and medical writing. She is a graduate of Monash University and holds a Masters in Medical Science from the University of Malaya.
