CRM Observes the Movement Control Order (MCO), Conditional MCO & Recovery MCO
Following the public announcement by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on 11th January 2021, the Movement Control Order (MCO) will be reinstated in the states of Penang, Selangor, Melaka, Johor, and Sabah as well as the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan from 13th to 26th January 2021. Another six states, Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu, and Kelantan will be placed under conditional MCO (CMCO), while Perlis and Sarawak are under the recovery MCO (RMCO) during this period.
Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) supports the government’s initiatives to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. Following this, CRM headquarters will be closed until the end of MCO and all employees will be working from home during this period.
CRM remains committed in ensuring patient safety and clinical data integrity. The Clinical Operations team based at sites where the MCO is implemented will be working from home but will continue to support essential trial activities and patient visits, subject to the Principal Investigator’s/ Hospital’s direction. Clinical Operations team based in sites under CMCO and RMCO will continue to follow the normal work arrangement.
