Hospital Sungai Buloh is located approximately 25 km from Kuala Lumpur in Mukim Batu, Gombak District, Selangor. In 1999, the hospital’s development project, covering an area of 130 acres, was initiated to accommodate the growing population and increasing congestion in the surrounding areas while also helping to reduce patient overflow at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Research & Specialty Departments
- Infectious Diseases – Established in 2015 under Dato’ Christopher Lee and Dr. Suresh Kumar, this department has conducted the highest number of Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) studies, with over 15 studies completed.
- Neurology – Operating under the Medical Department, led by Dr. Sapiah Bt Sapuan, with over 5 studies conducted since 2015.
- Pediatrics – Led by Dr. See Kwee Ching, this department conducted a COVID-19 vaccine study starting in 2020.
- Nephrology – Also under the Medical Department, currently conducting ongoing ISR research under the new Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Jonathan Yong Thian Hooi.
- Pathology – The ATLAS study has been ongoing since 2015 under Tuan Suhaila Binti Tuan Soh.
