The Ipoh Hospital Clinical Research Centre (HCRC Ipoh) headed by Dr Philip Rajanwas established in March 2001, and was renamed CRC Perak in 2007. In 2006, the office was relocated to the 4th floor of the Ambulatory Care Centre (ACC). Numerous facilities are made available at CRC Perak including a spacious reception area, sufficient office space for CRC staff and investigators, 1 archive library, 1 training room (maximum occupancy of 40), 2 meeting rooms (maximum occupancy of 10 per room) and a server room. CRC Perak also has an accessed-controlled clinical trial hub that consists of a consultation room for trial patients and a room for research equipment. CRC Perak is equipped sufficiently with a network server and workstations to support research within the Perak state.
