Building a Resilient Healthcare Future: CRM–GARDP Partnership on AMR

CRM is collaborating with the Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP) to advance Malaysia’s efforts in addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and improving access to essential antibiotics. Through shared expertise, research collaboration and data contribution, this partnership supports Malaysia’s role within the SECURE initiative and reinforces the nation’s commitment to evidence-based solutions for drug-resistant infections.

SECURE is a global effort led by GARDP and the World Health Organization to make important antibiotics easier to access, especially for infections that no longer respond well to common medicines. It works to ensure patients can receive effective treatment when they need it, while also promoting the responsible use of antibiotics to keep them working for future generations.

This collaboration also aims to strengthen capacity within the local clinical research ecosystem through knowledge exchange, skills development and stewardship support. By working together, CRM and GARDP aspire to help improve patient access to effective treatments and contribute towards a more prepared, informed and resilient healthcare landscape for the future.
