Congratulations to CRM Sponsored Research Award 2020 winners!

The CRM Sponsored Research Award is given out each year to outstanding Principal Investigators, clinical trials sites and the industry for their contribution in sponsored research to the nation. It is given to spur and encourage more of such efforts in the future. CRM would like to honour and acknowledge their dedication in participating in sponsored research and hope that they will keep up the good work. Congratulations to all CRM Sponsored Research Award recipients:

TOP RECRUITER

Dr. Voon Pei Jye, from Sarawak General Hospital received the Top Recruiter award for achieving for significant patient recruitment in studies initiated in 2019.  Out of the studies initiated in 2019, he had 6 studies which achieved 1st patient enrollment within 100 days from study activation. He has also achieved the patient recruitment target in 3 of these studies.

INVESTIGATOR OF THE YEAR

Dr Lily Wong Lee Lee, from Queen Elizabeth Hospital received Investigator of the Year award for being Principal Investigator to the highest number of new sponsored research in 2019 (9 out of the 15 new hematology trials which was awarded in Malaysia in year 2019). She also co-authored in a global sponsored study finding which was published in high impact Blood journal in 2019

CLINICAL TRIAL SITE OF THE YEAR

Hospital Sultan Ismail received the Clinical Trial Site of the Year award for demonstrating significant growth in the number of studies awarded in 2019. This clinical trial site had 8 studies which was initiated in 2019 compared to only 2 studies the year before, making it one of the top trial sites for oncology and dermatology studies in the country.

SPONSOR OF THE YEAR

Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) received Sponsor of the Year award for contributing the highest number of new trials in 2019. MSD also brought in the highest study value in contract for that year, which contributed a total of 47.6% of the total study value recorded in 2019.

CRO OF THE YEAR

IQVIA Malaysia received CRO of the Year award for also contributing the highest number of new clinical trials in 2019. In addition, not only IQVIA did achieved the highest number of clinical trial sites initiated that year, these trial sites showed remarkable accomplishment in recruitment achievement
